LOCATION
The UFO Restaurant is located on the pillars of the Bratislava New bridge (Nový most), also called the UFO bridge. To get to the this bridge, it just takes a few minutes walk from the Old Town. The closest well known spot is the Hviezdoslav’s Square with the Slovak national theater or the St. Martin’s Cathedral. This road bridge over the Danube connects the Old Town with another Bratislava’s borough – Petržalka. When you walk near it, you have a great view on the Castle, too.
You can get up there by an elevator which is located in one of the tower’s „legs“. The ride takes 45 seconds. The entry fee for the UFO sightseeing deck is 7,40 € but you don’t pay in case you visit the restaurant. Take some great photos and avoid paying entry fee – on the contrary, get a free welcome drink!
THE INTERIOR
The whole interior is designed in a modern, minimalistic style. Tables covered with white cloths, candles set on each, lounge music in the background… a perfect chill out. If you are looking for an amazing scenery, this is the place you want to go.
The beautiful view on the entire city lying at your feet from the restaurant 85 m high will reinforce your culinary experience. Our favorite time to come here? Before the sun set – watching the sun go down over the Danube from here is something you will remember 🙂
UFO bar and restaurant is a great spot for spending an evening, too. The dim lights and lit candles together with the lights from the city will definitely ensure you have a special night out here.

WHAT TO HAVE IN THE UFO BAR & RESTAURANT?
There are different appetizers, main courses, various ‘degustation’ menus and desserts you can choose from. The meals, even though having a limited number of them, are very extraordinary and creative. That means you won’t find a traditional chicken broth on the list, instead there is a lobster broth with nutmeg pumpkin or a tomato-coconut soup. Similar applies to the rest of the menu. Plus, it is regularly modified each season. And it is always a combination of Mediterranean and Asian cuisine.
Bread and butter served up front are a matter of course in this kind of a restaurant.
There are fantastically looking cocktails on the menu. Have you tried a coconut mojito? Now you have a chance to do so! We enjoyed a lot the „UFOpolitan“ full of berries which was super refreshing and just perfect to our taste buds.
No surprise that UFO watch.taste.groove made it to our list of the best cocktail places in town!
When it comes to the service, it is top level. They help you sit down, lay the table in front of you, are very attentive and willing to answer any of your questions – you get what you pay for, as this place is on the pricier side.
When dining here, you usually receive some „extras.“ We got a small appetizer (cheese) and after the main course, a couple of handmade chocolates. Sweet.
Talking about extras? Well you also get a breakfast muffin from the chef in a little take-away bag to take with you – great to start your next morning with! 🙂
If you want to experience sophisticated dining, visit the UFO bar & restaurant. It is indeed a special place. The only minus for us was when we found out that for the water, which the waiter was filling our glasses with during the whole evening, they charged us 5,40 €. We mean, it is not about the few extra euros but if you decide to spend around 50 € per person for a dinner, the least you expect is that water is automatically included, especially if you did not ask for it (we did not ask for it). Otherwise, this place is definitely worth a visit.
You usually need a reservation for the restaurant, mainly during the weekends. Please check their webpage about the availability, especially for the evenings.
